Effect of simulated explosion on aircraft fuselage

Three men arrested in August 2006 for plotting to blow up planes flying from London to America with home-made liquid bombs, leading to airport restrictions on liquids and traveler chaos, have been found guilty.

The BBC had explosives engineer Sidney Alford simulate the damage caused by a liquid bomb to a commercial airliner.
